Why We Do What We Do

Omaha Investments was founded from a personal experience.

After five years studying in the United States and three years working across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, our founder returned to Indonesia in 2019 and began reviewing his family’s investment portfolio. What he found was deeply unsettling: mis-selling, excessive trading, conflicts of interest, and a lack of transparency around fees—practices that had steadily eroded wealth his family had worked hard to build.

The experience revealed a broader problem. Considerable discipline goes into earning and preserving wealth, yet that same discipline is too often absent when wealth is invested. Misaligned incentives can encourage product-pushing, unnecessary transactions, and decisions that serve the intermediary rather than the client.

It led to a simple question:

What if hard-earned wealth could be managed with true prudence, transparency, and alignment?

That question became the foundation of Omaha Investments.

We built Omaha around a simple principle: our interests should be aligned with those of our clients. We believe in transparency, disciplined investing, and responsible stewardship of capital. Our role is not merely to manage investments, but to treat our clients’ wealth with the same care, patience, and long-term perspective we would expect for our own.
